RADS

RADS 6 is now available for Windows 7 users. It, however, is not recommended for users of older Windows operating systems. If you are not running Windows 7, it is recommend that you continue to use RADS 5. Issues have been identified with OfficeScan 10 (RADS 6). Although these issues do not hinder the application's ability to protect the machine against viruses and malware, we feel that it would be best to wait for a resolution from Trend Micro before recommending the installation of RADS 6 for all versions of Windows.

Important Information:
If your OfficeScan icon has recently turned red or if you recently noticed that your pattern files are out of date, your RADS client may have been corrupted by a faulty patch. The following icons are symptoms of the failure:

RADS is a free anti-virus and anti-spyware service provided by the Rutgers University Office of Information Technology to all current students, faculty, and staff. RADS is compatbile with all Microsoft operating systems from Windows 98 through Windows Vista. It works with workstation and server editions and runs on X86, AMD64, EM64T, and IA64 processors.

RADS 5 is based on Trend Micro's OfficeScan 7.3 and 8.0 software.

RADS 6 is based on TrendMicro's OfficeScan 10.0 software.
